God’s Agenda

As we start our days each morning it is easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle, not looking forward to the daily routine of going to work or starting a school day. But as I was reminded this morning, as I prayed: God has you where you are for a reason; there is a plan far greater than you know for your life, your situation and your moment.  God never puts us in situations without preparing us first. He would not hand us something we weren’t ready for and He is always in the right time.  There have been moments where I have been frustrated wanting to take control, to change where I was in life: a career change or needing more school. At these times I felt like I needed more elsewhere. But in reality I just needed more of God; I needed to pray to Him and ask for guidance, direction, vision of what my next is.  By not trying to control what direction I am going, by giving it to God and trusting in Him I have been shown a vision for my life and I know for certain there is more to come.  God has a plan for me and He has a plan for you. To discover your purpose and your plan just ask Him. He will reveal great and mighty things to you, all you have to do is ask and wait patiently.
In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will
Ephesians 1:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made

Randomosity

Randomosity: The state of being or being part of random occurrences & activities. Also known as being in a state of complete randomness.

My spirit is doing cartwheels from Sunday, so many good things happening around me. Therefore here are my random thoughts, words, expressions for today:

Put God first. Saved. God is good, good things come to those who pray. Trust in the Lord. Be still, Lean on the Lord.  Listen. Be Bold in Jesus name. You can have an impact. Be a Disciple. Love. Encourage. Grow. Use your toolbox God has given you. Seek His face. Learn.  You are a creation, a design. Praise. Rejoice. Faith is Fadeless. Will. Spirit. Simplicity. Truth. Worship. Eternity.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made

When the enemy tries to come against you, by reminding you of your past, remind Satan of his future.

How is it that God can forgive us, but at times we cannot forgive ourselves? Or let the enemy try to tell us otherwise, that perhaps we aren’t forgiven? Being a Christian does not mean we live each day depressed, guilt filled about the mistakes we made. Being a Christian is about being in the present with the Lord and looking toward the future for the glory of God and for all the goodness to come.
The devil will use your past to come against you.  This is easy territory for the devil to target; to fill you with guilt of an ungodly past. Keep in mind all humans have made mistakes but don’t LIVE in them LEARN from them, look forward, know that your mistakes don’t define you. Errors have allowed you to join the righteous path you now travel on. The past is over. No man or woman can go back and undo what has been done. Don’t waste the opportunity God has given you today by dwelling on what has occurred. Learn from your past but don’t let it withhold or hinder your future blessings.
Your future is too bright; your blessings depend on your immediate and concrete attention to the present and the future. Make sure your eyes, mind and spirit are focused on your present and your future; be excited for what God has for you!
For we all can be saved by His grace.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8
You are fearfully and wonderfully made

Storm walking…

Psalm 107:28-30
28 Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble,
And He brings them out of their distresses.
 29 He calms the storm,
So that its waves are still.
 30 Then they are glad because they are quiet;
So He guides them to their desired haven

As Christians we are going to have difficult seasons, hard moments and trying times.  There have been moments, from my own life, where days were so encumbered with conflict that I thought I wouldn’t make it through. There were many moments that I wished life could just fast forward so I no longer faced the burden. In my dark days I didn’t know about storms. When my personal storm finally ceased I was closer to God then I had ever been before, I knew then any trying times to come were for a purpose and that God wouldn’t put me in harm’s way or through something I couldn’t handle.
Just like in nature, spiritual storms will eventually cease. When the rain is pouring and problems arise it is easy to feel completely isolated. However, as you walk know that you do not walk alone for God almighty is right next to you, knowing every trouble you will face before you do.  Walking out the storm is difficult, but consider it a learning opportunity, a challenge, a way to get to the next level as a Christian.  It is easy to get lost in the day to day messes when you are walking in your own spiritual storm
The biggest mistake one can do when going through a storm is to try and control it; you see God wants you to trust in Him -100%.  That through Him your problems have a purpose and light will be there once the storm clears. If you try to control the storm you will continuously fail.
I challenge you that when you do have hard days, moments, hours that you turn to God and ask for His help. The largest storm I went through lasted 5 months. But there are still some days or hours where I feel weak, overcome by something. And at these times I turn to my Savior, for He knows the troubles we have before we do, but He also knows the Blessings before we do. When you are feeling down, simply talk to Him, call out His name and peace will fill you.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made

I feel responsible now that I see...

One of my most beloved songs is called “Others” by Israel Houghton.
The first time I heard this song I was overcome, my spirit was touched and each lyric resonated with me, I had just come through one of the most difficult personal storms of my life and the Lord had restored me. The line my spirit couldn’t ignore: “I feel responsible now that I see.”
It was at that moment, I knew God allowed me to go through my storm to strengthen my faith so I would be the warrior I was meant to be, a disciple for Him. You see I spent months completely blinded to God, to the spiritual storm I was walking in, after 5 months God not only delivered me but allowed me to see. Once my eyes were open it was placed on my heart that I needed to write about my journey, share my thoughts, and share Gods message.  The responsibility came into place when I realized that my testimony was far greater than just for me to hold onto; I had the responsibility to share with others.
I created this blog: Intellection: a collection of thoughts to share my experiences as a Christian.  My hope is to inspire those who don’t know God to seek Him and promise that they will find His Greatness, just like I have.  For those of you who do know God, I hope that I can inspire you using what I have learned, my personal testimony, as a means to restore faith, for what I know and what I have gone through is only meant to give God the Glory, for He holds my hand each step of the way.
Join me on my walk.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made
